On Sunday 21st March, we woke up at 6am to catch a boat to France. But first we had to go through a 1 hour car ride so Ethan got in the back and strapped himself in. Jake and I did the same and we set off. We didn’t really do much on that ride; we just played our phones and watched movies. I watched ‘Groundhog Day’,a good but repetitive movie. Finally we reached the boat and went to find our cabin and that is where are 5 hour journey began.
I started by watching ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’. Mum keep pestering me to go take pictures of things on the boat, but I didn’t want to because I was writing my story ‘The Different’. I actually deleted half of it by mistake. She wanted me to take Ethan with me because he was being loud and mum gave him £1 and said ‘no candy,’ so he had a hissy fit because there was nothing for a pound. Well, there was, but he didn’t want a pen. I don’t know why because they were good pens!
We have been on that boat trip many times and some times it can be worse. Once I threw up and had to wear my pyjama bottoms to a magic show and I was chosen to be an assistant the magic guy said “You! pajama bottom girl”. Another time there was a parents quiz of theme tunes and the Toy Story theme tune turned on and I shouted “it’s Toy Story” but I was probably 5 or 6, so no one could blame me. It was not fun though.
One of the things that I hadn’t done was take pictures but my brothers were not very cooperative. So all I got were photos of Ethan holding up funny clothes and Jake lying down with his middle finger up. My opinion on boats is that they are cramped, their beds are really hard, and I’m sure that their sausages are not sausage. But they have nice places to sit and pretend you’re a superhero!
