Brighton

On Saturday the 20th of March, we set out for Brighton. It is a wonderful place to go if you are in a seaside mood. The car journey was an hour long and HubbaBubba my little brother was sat in the back of the car with an Easter egg that he was hitting. I asked for a bit and he said “what is the pass code?” And in a whispery voice he said “be a horse and I will give you some.” So, being me, I pretended to be a horse. He gave me the smallest piece so I ate it and carried on with the car journey. My new hobby is crocheting so I made a little blanket for Ethan’s toy to keep it warm and then he gave me more chocolate. Yum.

When we got to Brighton we pulled up next to a house and knocked on the door. I was scared because there was a loud crash as Artur came down the stairs to open the door in a hurry.  Our friends have two dogs. One is nearly as big as Ethan, and that is big. Pom-Pom came rushing down the stairs with her sister Manon and we said hello to them and their parents and got in the car. Perrine, their mother, drove us to the coast to Brighton Pier, where there was a sort of theme park and an arcade that was back-to-back with a restaurant. It was a fish restaurant and we went there to eat. Manon had a flat fish which she thought was a small fish but it was huge! To get to the pier we decided to run on the train track. It was out of order, not working.

We were each given £5 to spend. Crabs, my older brother, used all of his money and half of HubbaBubba’s.  HubbaBubba was really angry. I went to the arcade and played the 2p game. I ended up with a lot of 2p coins. Then I got bored and bought Brighton Rock with my winnings. Ethan got mad because I wouldn’t give him a whole one. So he said the F* word in the middle of the arcade. My dad got mad at him and took him outside. Later Ethan said sorry so we bought ice cream.  After we ran on the traintracks back to the car said goodbye and left. That was the end of our time at Brighton.

My thoughts about Brighton that is a really nice place but full of seagulls that poo on your car all the time.
